Cameron Moll: New Design, New Host, and Tumblr: How, Why
ON TUMBLR
This could very well turn out to be a horrible mistake, or it could play out really well for me. There’s no way of finding out without giving it a go, and that’s precisely what I’m doing.
Great to see Cameron Moll on Tumblr and will follow with interest how his blog evolves.
The one downside of Tumblr as a platform is seeing the long list of “likes” appear at the bottom of his latest well-considered article. A “like” is not a big investment and doesn’t merit that much space on the page.
This is easily fixed with a bit of JavaScript:
likes = document.getElementsByClassName('like');
for(i=0; i < likes.length; i++) { likes[i].style.display = 'none'; }
It would be cool to see something like “Show/Hide Likes/Reblogs” available as a link on top of the Tumblr feedback list.
